Our Vision
Our vision is to create the nation’s largest hydrogen hub in the U.S. Gulf Coast through the framework of our core goals:
- Match the scale up of hydrogen production to a growing regional demand as a pathway to utilizing domestic resources, ensuring global competitiveness, and achieving energy reliability, security, and energy dominance in America.
- Capitalize on the well-established energy infrastructure in the region, including pipelines, refineries, and gas facilities, to execute projects in the Gulf Coast that integrate hydrogen with gaseous value chains and carbon capture at scale.
- Develop new, connective pipeline infrastructure and liquefaction facilities to ensure more energy options can be delivered to the region’s broad base of industrial energy customers across multiple demand segments.
- Integrate billions of dollars in private capital to create high-paying jobs, offering opportunities for oil and gas workers to leverage their experience and join an effort that will drive exponential manufacturing and domestic, economic growth.
- Support hard-to-electrify sectors like heavy-duty trucking, refining, and steel and industrial manufacturing, helping the region improve air quality while optimizing growth for these critical industries and their workforce in the U.S.
- Create up to 45,000 quality jobs over the project’s lifetime for Texans.

Did You Know?
The U.S. Gulf Coast is currently producing 3.5 million metric tons of hydrogen per annum, which is one third of U.S. annual hydrogen production. We will utilize regionally advantaged, co-located geology which is well-suited for carbon capture and sequestration and for commercial-scale hydrogen storage.
